In addition to her Tulane position, Lustig is a Nonresident Fellow at the Center for Global Development and the Inter-American Dialogue. She directs the Commitment to Equity, a project analyzing the impact of taxation and social spending on inequality and poverty. She studies Latin American income distribution dynamics and is a founding member and past president of the Latin American and Caribbean Economic Association and co-directed the Bank’s 2000/1World Development Report on poverty. She has a PhD from the University of California, Berkeley.
