Nazneen Ahmed is a senior research fellow at the Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies. She has more than 20 years of experience as an economist working on international trade and development, gender and socioeconomic issues, agriculture, and the apparel industry. Ahmed was a member of the panel of economists for Bangladesh’s 7th Five-Year Plan and is a member of the government’s Bangladesh NGO Foundation. She has worked with the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, Islamic Development Bank, DFID, USAID, and other development groups. She earned economics degrees at the University of Dhaka and University of Sussex, and University of Wageningen.
