Naresh Pal Gangwar

Mr Naresh Pal Gangwar is a senior Indian Administrative Service officer, who currently serves as the Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India. He heads key divisions like pollution control (air & water), and hazardous substances management.  Prior to this, Mr Gangwar was the Principal Secretary, Government of Rajasthan and was instrumental in initiating key policies for development of solar energy in the initial phase of National Solar Mission between 2010-2014. Mr Gangwar is a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics & Communications from IIT, Roorkee, and holds Master’s degrees in Communication and Radar Engineering from IIT, Delhi, and in Economics from University of Rajasthan.
