Miriam Muller is a Social Scientist with the Poverty and Equity Global Practice, in the West and Central Africa region. Prior to joining the West and Central Africa region, she has worked extensively in Latin America, focusing on qualitative research and on gender equality in Latin America. Before joining the World Bank, Miriam worked on gender equality with the German Development Cooperation (GIZ). Miriam holds a Master’s degree in Sociology and Latin American Studies from Freie Universitaet Berlin and a doctorate in Sociology from Humboldt Universitaet zu Berlin.
