Maura Misiti is co-author with Serena Dandini of Ferite a morte (Wounded to Death), a collection of monologues of women victims of gender based violence around the world. Ms. Misiti is Demographer and Senior Researcher at the Institute for Research on Population and Social Policies of the National Council of Research in Italy. She was a Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University Padua. Her research interests center on gender studies and in particular on gender based violence. She coordinated several European and national projects on violence against women and has authored over 100 scientific publications.
