Maryanne Hancock is the Chief Executive Officer of Rise Labs, based in Washington, D.C.
Rise Labs was created by the founders of The Rise Fund to increase the amount and effectiveness of capital allocation for the greater good by increasing confidence in the impact achieved by that capital. Rise Labs enables decision makers to make greater use of evidence in capital allocation; to apply rigorous methodologies to value and underwrite impact; and to advance the field of capital allocation for good towards global standards.
Before joining Rise Labs, Maryanne was a Senior Partner at McKinsey and Company, where she led transformational change with her clients across the globe. In addition to her private sector work in industries like logistics, energy, and environmental services, Maryanne made substantial contributions in the social sector, such as co-founding McKinsey’s US K-12 Public Education practice. She also worked extensively with CARE, one of the world’s leading poverty alleviation organizations, and with several non-profits creating businesses to employ those living at the margins.
Maryanne holds a BA with Honors and an MA from the University of Virginia and graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law School.
