Maria Thomas is a consumer Internet pioneer who has helped build some of the most recognizable brands in the digital landscape. She's the former CEO of Etsy (NASDAQ: Etsy) and the former CCO at SmartThings (acquired by Samsung, 2014). In the late 1990s and early 2000s, Maria was a product leader at Amazon.com. Subsequently, she was the driving force behind NPR’s successful transformation from a radio-only company to a best-in-class, multi-media enterprise. Earlier in her career Maria worked in finance on Wall Street and for the World Bank's private sector arm, IFC.
