Laura Clise is a passionate and intrapraneurial corporate sustainability executive and 2013 Aspen Institute First Mover Fellow, with more than 14 years of diverse industry and functional experience instigating and championing cross-cultural, multi-stakeholder strategies at the intersection of business and society.
At Plum Creek, Laura Clise leads corporate sustainability, and serves as the President of the Plum Creek Foundation. Previously, Laura led the Sustainable Development department at AREVA North America, overseeing the development and deployment of the company's first regional sustainability strategy and supplier diversity program. She subsequently served as the Director of External Communications & Corporate Citizenship, responsible for corporate social responsibility, stakeholder engagement, public relations, and executive communications.
Before joining AREVA Inc., Laura’s sustainability experience included work for the U.N. Global Compact, Intel Corporation, and Business for Social Responsibility. She began her career in brand management at General Mills and also worked for McMaster-Carr Supply Company, where she led the international sales operations department.
Laura received an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, and a BA in International Relations from Carleton College.
She serves on the Net Impact Corporate Advisory Council and the Athlete Ally Board of Directors, and is a frequent speaker on sustainability, diversity and inclusion, multi-stakeholder partnerships, energy policy, and climate change mitigation. Her articles have appeared in Harvard Business Review, the Advocate, Triple Pundit, the Huffington Post, and the Washington Blade.
