Jorge Esteve Recolons is General Director of ECOM Agroindustrial, Mexico, and a shareholder and member of the Executive Committee of ECOM Agroindustrial, a leading global agribusiness commodity merchant and sustainable supply chain management company with a presence in over 40 countries. ECOM has a focus on coffee, cocoa and cotton, as well as selected other agricultural products. ECOM is one of the world’s top two coffee merchants, largest coffee miller, and among the top four merchants in cotton and cocoa.
Formerly, Mr. Esteve was part of the Executive Committee of HSBC for Latin America and the Caribbean, served as CEO of Insurance, Pensions and Investments in the region, and founded the Corporate Sustainability department for the bank in Mexico.
He is a member of the Consejo Mexicano de Negocios, an organism that gathers the executives of the most important companies in Mexico with the objective of furthering public policy to bolster investment and create employment.
Jorge is married and has three children. He graduated from Universidad Anahuac in Mexico City and obtained his MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management in Chicago, Illinois.
