Jacob joined IFC’s Young Professional Program in September 2020 upon graduation from the Wharton School with an MBA and the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania with a MA in International Studies.
Prior to IFC, Jacob worked at a major global investment bank in New York, a California-based fixed-income hedge fund, and an impact investment fund in Latin America. As a YP, Jacob has completed rotations with the Brazil Public Private Partnership Advisory team and World Bank Water Global Practice, and he is currently finishing the YP program with IFC’s Municipal and Environmental Infrastructure team primarily focusing on the water sector.
He is originally from Michigan and grew up partly in South Korea but has been on the US East Coast for the past 13 years. He speaks Korean, Spanish, Portuguese and has also lived in Chile, Argentina, and Nicaragua for work and studies.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Princeton University and earned his membership as a CFA charterholder in 2017.
