Jonah Rexer is an Economist at the World Bank in the South Asia Region Office of the Chief Economist. Previously, he was a Postdoctoral Associate in the Empirical Studies of Conflict research group and Lecturer at the School of Public and International Affairs, Princeton University. Jonah is an applied development microeconomist. His research studies how firms and investors navigate difficult markets. He is also interested in the politics of international finance; the environmental and political consequences of natural resource wealth; urbanization in emerging countries; and climate change adaptation. He holds a PhD in Applied Economics from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania, and an MPA/ID from the Harvard Kennedy School.
