Gloria M. Grandolini is Senior Director, Finance and Markets Global Practice (FMGP) of the World Bank Group, since 2014. She is responsible for delivering tailored development solutions integrating World Bank Group’s financial, knowledge/advisory, and convening services to clients. The FMGP delivers comprehensive World Bank Group solutions, including loans/credits, guarantees, and risk-management products.
Since joining the World Bank in 1990 as a Young Professional, she has held various positions, among them: Director of the Banking and Debt Management Department in the World Bank Treasury. Here she oversaw the delivery of customized financial solutions and offerings to clients and staff; advisory services in public debt management; and asset-liability management services and hedging execution for the Bank group and its members. Before that she was the Senior Advisor to the Executive Director representing Italy, Portugal, Albania, Greece, Malta, and San Marino in the Board of the World Bank Group. Grandolini, an Italian and Honduran national, has a PhD. in international economics and a Master’s in law and diplomacy from Tufts University. She also holds a Master’s degree in Foreign Service from Georgetown University.
