Mr. Stenning has more than 20 years of experience in the Peruvian Capital Markets. He joined the BVL as CEO in 2009, after spending almost ten years as Chairman and CEO, CAVALI, (the Peruvian CSD). Among other important initiatives, under his leadership the BVL founded MILA (Integrated Latin American Market) together with the Chilean, Colombian and Mexican Exchanges.
Besides his duties at the Exchange, he remains as Chairman of CAVALI´s Board and serves as board member of Chile´s Commodities Exchange (Bolsa de Productos de Chile) and the Bolivian CSD (Entidad de Depósito de Bolivia - EDV).
During the past decade, he also provided advisory services and conducted assessment projects for Central Banks and Regulatory Agencies (on Post-Trade Operations and Payment Systems issues) in El Salvador, Dominican Republic and Guatemala.
Prior to joining the BVL Group in 1999, Mr. Stenning held various management positions - mostly related to Investment Banking – with different financial institutions, locally and abroad.
Mr. Stenning holds a MBA from the Arthur D. Little MEI (Boston, Massachusetts) and a BA in Economics from the Universidad del Pacífico (Lima, Perú).
