Etienne Ngoubou has been the Minister of Hydrocarbons since January 2014, and Minister of Hydrocarbons, Energy and Hydraulic Resources between February 2012 and January 2014. Prior to that, Etienne Ngoubou held several high-level positions in the government, including Director General of Energy, government expert on energy and hydraulic resources, and was responsible for implementing the energy sector policy. Etienne Ngoubou started his career with Shell Gabon where he held various technical and managerial positions. Etienne Ngoubou holds Engineering degree from Ecole Polytechnique de Masuku-Franceville.
