Esra Turan Tombak is a senior architect with construction business as well as governmental agencies experience. She has been working in the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change for 28 years in different positions as an architect and manager responsible from design and supervision of public buildings. Esra has been working as the department manager in the Ministry since 2019. She is also Project Director of World Bank financed projects and mainly responsible from the Energy Efficiency in Public Buildings Project and Public and Municipal Renewable Energy Project. She has been actively working on energy efficiency of buildings for 15 years and previously she was responsible from the preparation and execution of secondary legislations on energy performance of buildings. She also takes part as short term expert in various projects for international agencies like UNDP. She is certified passive house designer and has LEED GA certificate.
