Elizabeth Siqueira Juliatto, a Brazilian citizen, studied Civil Engineering at the Federal University of Paraná and received a Master’s in Hydraulic Engineering in Belgium. Ms. Juliatto is the Manager of Water Resources Planning of Brazil’s National Water Agency (ANA). She is working on the development of Brazil’s Water Security Plan and also on the development of the “Atlas Brazil for Cleaning Water Basins: Urban Sewage Treatment.”
Prior to this, Ms. Juliatto worked for 21 years as Engineer of the Water and Sewage Utility Service of the State of Paraná – SANEPAR (from 1979 to 2001). There, she served as Research and Development Engineer (1998 to 2001) performing studies on water metering and applying simulation tools to analyze water distribution networks. Also, as Design Engineer (1989 to 1998), designing small water treatment plants. From 1983 to 1989, she worked as Operational Development Engineer, developing activities related to the "Unaccounted-for-Water Control Program." And, as a Cost Engineer (1979 to 1983) preparing cost estimates for water and sewage systems construction and Terms of Reference for contracting waterworks.
