Ms. Castro has been with the National Housing Commission (CONAVI) since 2014, as General Deputy Director of Subsidies, primarily responsible for the operation of housing subsidies. She is in charge of developing financial products with subsidies together with FOVISSSTE.
Previously, Ms. Castro worked for 10 years at Sociedad Hipotecaria Federal (SHF) as Market Development Director, collaborating in the development of guarantees, mortgage insurance, housing products, financial structures and financial evaluation of Desarrollos Certificados (formerly DUIS, Sustainable Integral Urban Developments). Prior to this, she worked at the National Banking Commission as Deputy Director in charge of the supervision of the Programa de Apoyo a Deudores (debtor’s support programs of the 90’s financial crisis) and defining the associated fiscal costs.
Ms. Castro received her B.S. in Actuarial Sciences from the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM) and has a MSc. in Operational Research from the London School of Economics.
