Davie Wirima is Deputy Director in the Debt and Aid Division of the Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning and Development. He joined the Ministry of Finance on 7th November 1989 after graduating from Chancellor College of the University of Malawi with a Bachelor of Social Sciences Degree.
All his working life, he has been dealing with aid coordination and resource mobilization issues in the Ministry. He has specifically managed the following aid portfolios, World Bank, African Development Bank, Arab Donors, USAID, IFAD and major Bilateral Donors including UK, Japan, India and China. He is also, currently, Political Focal point in Malawi for the GEF. He holds a Master of Science Degree in Development and Project Planning obtained at the University of Bradford in the United Kingdom.
