Danny Harvey is the Country Director for Concern Worldwide in Zambia and has been overseeing the Realigning Agriculture to Improve Nutrition (RAIN) project since 2013. She is a development professional with over 17 years of experience developing, implementing, managing, supporting and evaluating development programmes for International NGOs.
With a background in Agriculture (MSc in Tropical Agricultural and Environmental Resource Management from University of Newcastle in the UK), Ms. Harvey also has a keen interest in gender and poverty and was the Global Equality Advisor for Concern Worldwide for over five years—a role that included support to the Head Office and Country Programmes to mainstream gender equality and promote empowerment across a range of countries and contexts. She also worked on Gender Based Violence prevention and response in development settings and supported mainstreaming of HIV & AIDS. Ms. Harvey has worked in a number of countries across both Africa and Asia including: Uganda, Kenya, Bangladesh, India, Afghanistan, Cambodia, Laos, Timor Leste, Indonesia, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, and DRC.
