Bruno Covas Lopes has served as Mayor of São Paulo since April 2018 and was reelected in November 2020. He earned a law degree from the University of São Paulo (USP) and a degree in economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP). He previously served as Deputy Mayor of São Paulo (2017-2018) and has held several appointments in São Paulo including Member of the Chamber of Deputies (2015-2017), Secretary of the Environment (2011-2014), and Member of the Legislative Assembly of the State (2007-2011).
