Ani Balabanyan is a Practice Manager in the Energy and Extractives Global Knowledge Unit (IEEGK) within the Infrastructure Vice Presidency at the World Bank, based in Washington, D.C. She holds an MBA from Texas Christian University and a Master’s degree in Economics from Yerevan State University.
Miss Balabanyan is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA), bringing extensive financial expertise to the Bank’s energy sector engagements. With over 20 years of experience in the energy sector, her work spans a broad range of areas, including energy finance and efficiency, power sector economics, power systems planning, utility governance and performance, and public–private partnerships in the energy sector.
