Anastasia heads the International Finance Corporation’s (IFC) global work on Fragile and Conflict Affected Situations (FCS) under IFC’s Vice President for Strategy and Operations Support. Her responsibilities include ensuring the focus on private sector development in fragile and conflict-affected markets is clearly reflected across the World Bank Group, and she works with Operational teams to achieve development impact in these most challenging markets.
During her 20+ year career with IFC, she has had repeated success moving strategy into action while modernizing operations, mitigating risk, and increasing efficiency across the organization. Anastasia’s work has transformed both IFC’s internal operations and its investment process, and she has advanced work across renewable energy, energy efficiency, tourism, retail and property sectors by delivering investment and advisory projects in countries across Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
Prior to joining IFC, Anastasia was an economist in London, United Kingdom and Johannesburg, South Africa, where she began her career with ABN AMRO BANK N.V.
