Ana Cristina is a Sector specialist in public procurement at the IDB Fiscal Management Division. She has extensive experience as a researcher and international consultant on issues relating to the modernization of public procurement systems in Latin America and the Caribbean, public management compliance assessments, and the strengthening and use of country procurement systems for aid delivery. She Holds a PhD from the Maastricht University, school of Government (UNU-MERIT) and MSc in Social Policy and Development from the London School of Economics. She has also complete studies on Economic and Foreign Policy at American University in Washington DC and on the use of data analysis for strategic communication from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
