Amadou Koné has been serving as the Minister of Transport since January 2017. He joined the government for the first time in 2005 as the Minister of Tourism and since then has held various high-level roles including as the Minister of African Integration, Spokesperson of the Government, and Special Adviser to the Prime Minister on the DDR process. From 2011 to 2017, Mr. Koné also served as the Administrator of the African Development Bank (ADB) on behalf of Cote d’Ivoire, Guinea-Bissau and the Republic of Guinea. He holds a degree in Geographical Engineering from Laval Univeristy and a Masters in Regional Planning from the University of Cocody (Abidjan).
