His Excellentcy Abdulla Balalaa is the UAE Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Energy and Sustainability and the Chairman of Masdar City. He leads the UAE’s diplomatic efforts on energy, climate, food security, and water, and has been instrumental in advancing global sustainability partnerships. He also serves on several national and international boards and currently leading the UAE effort in hosting the 2026 UN Water Conference. He holds degrees from Harvard Business School, Paris-Sorbonne University, and the Higher Colleges of Technology.
