Abayomi Alawode leads the Bank’s program in Islamic finance. Since joining the Bank in 1997, he has worked as Lead Financial Sector Specialist, Senior Financial Specialist, and Adviser to the Central Bank of Bahrain. He holds BSc and MSc degrees in Economics from the Obafemi Awolowo University and an MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge.
