Nada Hamadeh is an expert on international comparisons of economic outputs and standards of living. She leads the International Comparison Program (ICP) unit at the Development Data Group at the World Bank. The ICP is the largest worldwide statistical program, producing internationally comparable price and volume measures for gross domestic product (GDP) and its components, based on purchasing power parities (PPPs), for nearly 200 economies. Nada is an elected member of the International Statistical Institute and represents the World Bank on the Inter-Secretariat Working Group on Price Statistics, the Inter-Agency Coordination Group on PPPs, and the Group of Experts on Consumer Price Indices. Before joining the World Bank in 2003, Nada worked with the United Nations and the Office of the Prime Minister of Lebanon.
