Do you really think this is a problem that can be "managed"? Seems optimistic in light of the millions of tonnes of toxic plastics generated and discarded every year by big corporations. All the "management" is being done by the poorest people at great costs to their personal health and living environments. Perhaps you should join the call to ban the manufacture and distrbution of all forms of plastics worldwide. This is the only viable solution for a living future for the planet's lifeforms. Anything else is greenwash.

Beside the plastic entering in the ocean how is the situation with cigarette butts and a fine for Philipp Morris worldwide? In the butts are pesticides and microplastics which is harming the biodiversity. Did someone ever taught the damage done by Morris how much would that clean up cost? Plus why does Coca-Cola and Nestlé not pay for the clean ups? They make so much money and the citizens have to pay for the Littering.
