Answer from Alasdair: Thanks for your question. The report proposes a deliberate approach to tackling this critical issue. It proposes an approach which tackles and addresses the actual distribution of power and the diversion of resources for private purposes.

Answer from Samuel: The World Bank has been fully engaged in the Sustainable Development Goals and is supporting governments and other multilateral organizations in achieving these ambitious goals by 2030. Whether financing access to electricity for school children in rural areas or investing in mass transit infrastructure to create more livable cities, we view development in all sectors through the lens of social inclusion and environmental sustainability. Over the last decade, the World Bank has managed one of the largest sources of multilateral development funds for protecting biodiversity, supporting sustainable forest management and good stewardship of our oceans, along with combating wildlife crime. Q&A Rule of law or rules based order? Western world has larger role to play and they need to come forward

Answer by Samuel: The World Bank Group engages with all governments around the World to accomplish its twin goals of shared prosperity and ending extreme poverty.

Governments must promote the development of the capacities of their individuals so that they can contribute effectively and efficiently to achieve the growth and maintenance of the economy. However, for this to happen, let us remember that as human beings, the satisfaction of their basic needs must be managed, especially comprehensive health (physical and mental) in addition to food. Additional priority to this, education.

African countries have challenges in that basic needs are not being met and this prevents them from engaging with the governments in policy making. governments need to do more in these areas. Nigeria ?? is a typical example.

What about countries like Bhutan with a Monarchy system considering that the King had great inclusive visions for his people but the government fails to implement them due to underlying factors such as a strong presence of Nepotism and strong cultural and religious values used as tools of controlling the citizens perspective of the government?
