Dr. Souleymane Diarrassouba has been Minister of Planning and Development of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire since January 2026. He served as Minister of Trade and Industry of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire from 2017 to January 2026. A seasoned banker, he led the Atlantic Business International (ABI) Group, a subsidiary of Morocco’s Banque Centrale Populaire, as well as Banque Atlantique Côte d’Ivoire. His expertise earned him leading roles in the regional banking sector, notably as President of the Federation of Professional Associations of Banks of the WAEMU (FAPBEF-UEMOA) and of APBEF-CI, and as Vice-President of the General Confederation of Enterprises of Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI).
Elected Member of Parliament for Yamoussoukro in 2021 and again in 2025, he is also active in political life.
Dr. Diarrassouba holds an Executive PhD from the Université Paris Dauphine PSL and several degrees in finance and management, he is a Commander of the National Order, a Commander of the Commercial and Industrial Order, and the recipient of numerous professional distinctions.
