Jessica Erickson Stiefler serves as the Lead Infrastructure Finance Specialist at the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), the political risk insurance and credit enhancement arm of the World Bank Group. In her role, Ms. Stiefler leads the WBG Guarantee Platform’s engagement in key WBG strategic initiatives, including Mission 300, where she works on developing de-risking solutions to catalyze investment and sustain development outcomes across emerging and frontier markets.
With two decades of expertise in energy and infrastructure financing and guarantees, Ms. Stiefler has led the design and implementation of innovative commercial models and financial structures for transactions across the distributed energy, power, and LNG industries worldwide.
Among her prior roles at MIGA, Ms. Stiefler was a Senior Underwriter on the Energy and Extractives and Industries teams, concentrating on business development, guarantee structuring, and client relationship management. Ms. Stiefler also served as the supervisor for the Global Transaction Team. Before joining MIGA, Ms. Stiefler was a Senior Director of Finance at Excelerate Energy and Project Finance Manager at AES.
Ms. Stiefler holds a master’s of international trade and investment policy from George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree from Williams College.
