Under the theme “Powering Jobs and Growth,” Transforming Transportation 2026 focuses on how transport systems help deliver essential public goods — from connecting people to jobs and markets to improving safety and supporting environmental objectives.
The Conference takes place March 9–13, 2026, with the main forum on March 10–11, alongside side events and partner meetings throughout the week. Sessions will be held in a hybrid format, combining in-person discussions with virtual participation to engage a global audience.

Founded in 2003 and co-hosted by the World Bank and WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities, the Transforming Transportation annual conference is the largest conference of its kind dedicated to fostering transport solutions in developing countries that address both sustainability and development goals. The global forum is a platform for innovators and leaders helping to transform the sector, from policymakers and CEOs to researchers and advocates.
