When will the world community focus on helping the traditional crafts which used to make ecosystem friendly products to carry goods, before plastic got introduced ,in the poor countries in the Third World?

Most of the plastic waste we have on the planet are product containers and product wraps..How about, borrowing from the olden days when every homestead had specific, mainly metal or clay containers for different products. Going to shop will hence be a matter of refilling the containers rather than buying products already packaged in plastic containers and increasing the household plastic output, and hence plastic waste
