@SPimentaIFC: This question is key when you look at the future of Africa. The private sector has to step up and play an important role in the development of Africa, whether it comes to electricity needs or urbanization, there is a lot that the private sector can do. IFC has been focused on climate-smart projects and solutions. Innovation is coming from Africa. African entrepreneurs are moving the agenda in terms of coming up with interesting climate-smart solutions. A lot of it is about leveraging technology and the digital revolution.

@YvonneNdege asks @Ada_Osakwe: As the CEO of a successful agribusiness and investment company, what can governments do to empower the growing pool of African women entrepreneurs to build and grow businesses that can create more and better jobs?

@Ada_Osakwe: It's about finance and access to finance. Women are six times as likely as men to get access to capital to grow their businesses. But it's not just about money; it's also about ensuring the people who have that money can deploy it in a deliberate and sustainable way. Training, support and mentorship is important to ensure that entrepreneurs thrive in an equitable society. Why don't our governments see this as low-hanging fruit to ensure that we accelerate carbon action?
