@HafezGhanem_WB: As we are coming out of this crisis, we need to operate at three levels: First, we need reforms to ensure that we have the right regulatory frameworks for investment and job creation. Second, we need to invest in infrastructure, and those investments need to be resilient to climate change. Third, we need to continue investing in people, especially women and girls.

While i appreciate these conversations very much, i am always keenly aware of the lack of demographic representation in these conversations. Africa for instance has one of the youngest population in the world. The youth on my continent are not just the future, they are the present. Creating more opportunities for youth inclusion in such conversations not only allows us to contribute meaningfully and substantively towards solving solving our own problems but also promotes ownership of these solutions. The youth should not be resigned to the role of activist only, they deserve an opportunity to utilize their professional experiences and to meaningfully contribute towards a resilient thriving African continent.

@ousmane_diagana: For countries to continue to move forward, they also need to pay special attention to regional integration. It’s important as a way to achieve economies of scale and to make sure investments in sectors that have the potential for transformation yield results.

Majiga-Kamoto: Successful climate action is about access: access to financial resources that are needed to build the adaptive capacity of developing countries; access to technologies that help local communities build resilience and respond to climate change; and access to mitigation technologies that can help prepare development countries for a net-zero carbon future.
