In countries where children go to school not to study rather to collect the free meals for the children and family, how does the digital divide matters to these children?

Consider fuel cells as an energy supply for cellphone towers. Takes away risk of battery theft, solar panel theft, electrical cable theft etc. Also methanol can't easily be stolen (hard to resell)like with diesel which is stored for supply to generators

As long as there is no investment in reliable, safe, and affordable last mile connectivity, there can not be a transition towards a digital economy. The development community has the funding, but the traditional pillar approach continues to spread the money too thinly, and waste money in duplication and non-sustainable interventions.... Furthermore, investing in digital technologies needs to happen in collaboration with local communities, and be integrated into other sectoral interventions (health, education, financial services, social services, etc). How do we get to such an integrated approach, when funders, implementers, governments, private sector, and local communities all seem to have their own agendas, hidden or not?

@Diop_WB: Larger companies are looking at startups and finding solutions. We need to invest heavily in infrastructure and continue to bring in the private sector.
