 IFC is also looking to support ESCOs (Energy Service Companies) that would specialize in providing power - usually renewable power - to telecom towers, helping lower costs and reduce the environmental impact of diesel fuel use.  The ESCO model is particularly interesting in our African markets, where the supply of on-grid power is limited and mobile operators and independent tower operators rely heavily on off-grid power solutions.
