we want to see specially targeted programmes for women as more women have lost their jobs and businesses especially those in the informal sector and are suffering the increased workload in care. How can the Bank help with the fact that poverty is largely female.

Dear President Malpass, I am Parimita from India. My question is, past crises have shown that once an outbreak is under control, governments and donors tend to turn their attention to other pressing concerns. This cycle of panic-then-forget has prevented the development of effective health emergency preparedness across the globe. So, how do we bring better and sustainable emergency preparedness?

It needs to be realized that the poor, in whatever community, tend to be entirely capable of their own interventions of environmental health and development, both in production and in implementation. Here is a model for the resilience of low-income communities almost anywhere. drive.google.comFor community-scale water treatment there is an opportunity to make highly sustainable large-scale filter systems point-of-use, leaving no one behind. "We've redoubled our efforts to help people in poverty and those falling into extreme poverty. To recognize the catastrophe as it began in March, we tried to move as quickly as possible to have framework agreements - these agreements that are now in 111 countries allow for health emergency supplies. IFC, in early May, helped with a surge of financing with trade finance lines and working capital. We are maximizing balance sheet of WBG entities with as many commitments as possible."  @DavidMalpassWBG
