"We have taken climate change and greening very seriously over 10 years - from 35% to 65% of our portfolio now. We see COVID crisis and the post-crisis as an opportunity to help countries build back better. We are stepping away from upstream investments in oil and gas. We also have our new green equity investments." Stephanie von Friedeburg

"The pandemic has shown the importance in all our client countries of looking at health care costs. Governments and households have had to pay a heavy burden for healthcare. We've begun research on this and the findings will hopefully help countries correct this in the future." Carlos Felipe Jaramillo

Dear President Malpass, I am Parimita from India. My question is:The past crises have shown that once an outbreak is under control, governments and donors tend to turn their attention to other pressing concerns. While over billions and billions funds has been injected into COVID-19 relief, most stimulus packages have not sufficiently incorporated climate resilience into their recovery plans. This cycle of panic-then-forget has prevented the development of effective emergency preparedness across the globe. So, how do we bring better and sustainable emergency preparedness?
