My question relates to the gender divide in the third world countries. In India, where i come from, there is still a large section of the female population that suffers as a result of a society that is 'men-centric', if i may say so. This ongoing coronavirus pandemic, has further endorsed the concept of staying at home. What do you think is the way ahead for women who stay in rural India, which have neither the society's backing to prosper, nor the financial and technological support to be self independent. How do you think this issue can be tackled in India and several other countries in the region and around the world.

The proliferation of digital technology may in actual fact marginalized women , girls and other groups even more so than the current states . The question is those that are not part of the digital revolution , what will become of them?

Thank you for organizing this streaming! It would be great to hear from speakers how they manage to engage public officials on this topic. Unfortunately, public officials are not always keen on tackling the digital gender gap.

Wondering if anyone uses or knows of any good measurement resources with metrics/indicators to track women's participation in STEM?
