Open Forum: Gender — Getting to Equal

On September 20-21, 2011 gender equality activists, experts, and entrepreneurs participated in a 24-hour chat forum and live webcast debate about the solutions needed to increase women’s economic opportunity and their voice in decision making. 

The global community submitted more than 276 ideas to solve this global challenge and 30,000 people participated online during a one month period. The live webcast debate was hosted by CNN International's Hala Gorani with a distinguished panel of experts including World Bank President Zoellick, Nike Foundation Founder and CEO - Maria Eitel.
