Alejandra Viveros

Communications Manager, Latin America and the Caribbean Regional Office, World Bank

Alejandra Viveros is the Communications Manager for the Latin America and the Caribbean Regional Office at the World Bank. Since 1999, she has held various positions in the organization, such as Senior Communications Officer at the Vice Presidency for Poverty Reduction and Economic Management (PREM), where she supervised the communications work of the Debt and Economic Policy, Gender, Poverty and Equity, Public Sector Management and International Trade departments. For two years, she served as Head of Communications at the Inter-American Development Bank’s (IADB) Multilateral Investment Fund, which focuses on private sector development. In addition to her vast experience in communications, both in the public and private sectors, Viveros worked as a journalist for MVS Television in Mexico City and as a correspondent for Mexican news agency Notimex in Ottawa and New York.
