Keiko Honda is Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), and also a member of the World Bank Group’s Senior Management Team.
Honda works to further the World Bank Group’s mission of ending extreme poverty and boosting shared prosperity. To that end, MIGA’s portfolio supports investments in regions where capital is most scarce. Sub-Saharan Africa currently accounts for the largest share of MIGA’s global portfolio, and MIGA is now the leading political risk insurance provider in fragile and conflict affected countries. MIGA has seen record levels of growth, with last year marking an unprecedented issuance of US$4.3 billion in guarantees - a 50% increase in MIGA’s portfolio from three years ago.
