Maudy's first major film debut was Untuk Rena (For Rena) on 2005. Following, she landed a bigger role in Sang Pemimpi (The Dreamer) on 2009, directed by Riri Riza, where her song Mengejar Mimpi (Chasing Dream) was also featured in the soundtrack. Ayunda released her debut album, titled Panggil Aku (Call Me) in 2011 and released her second studio album Moments on April 1, 2015. The album Moments produced three other singles earning the Multi-Platinum award by selling over 200,000 copies. She speaks Bahasa Indonesia, English, Mandarin and Spanish. After graduating from the British International School, Maudy enrolled at the University of Oxford and graduated on June 2016 majoring in Philosophy, Politics and Economics. She was appointed by Global Freedom Network and Paramadina University as the Modern Slavery ambassador on March 2017, to spread positive messages to the younger generation. The 2016 Global Slavery Index contains data showing that, as many as 45.8 million people in the world are still trapped in modern slavery, approximately 736 thousand of whom are in Indonesia.
