Ms. Okolloh is Google's Policy Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa. She co-founded Ushahidi where she was director until December 2010. Ory also co-founded Mzalendo, a website that tracks Kenyan Members of Parliament.
She has a Harvard Law School degree and has spoken at TED, the World Economic Forum, the Clinton Global Initiative and other fora on citizen journalism, technology in Africa, and the role of youth in reshaping the continent's future. She has been recognized as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum, as one of the most powerful women in Africa by Forbes magazine, and one of the most influential women in technology by Fast Company magazine.
Ms Okolloh is a board member of the Africa Media Initiative, an advisory board member of Code for All, and a member of the World Bank Service Delivery Indicator Committee.
