Mr. Denis Robitaille managed the Bank Group’s information management and technology portfolio, which is tightly linked with the institutions’ overall strategic direction. ITS enables the WBG to achieve its mission of ending extreme poverty and promote shared prosperity in a sustainable way by delivering transformative information and technologies to its staff working in over 150 locations. 

His focused on implementing the ITS digital transformation strategy that aligns information and technology resources in support of Bank Group objectives and priorities and facilitates digital innovation for a growing portfolio of client engagements.

Previously, Mr. Robitaille held several managerial positions at the World Bank at headquarters and in the field. He has deep operational knowledge of development projects and a reputation as a results-oriented manager, mentor and innovator. He has managed the Development Effectiveness Unit in the Latin America and Caribbean Region, where he led the provision of integrated and innovative services to all regional staff in the areas of operational quality, portfolio management, results, trust funds, safeguards, knowledge management and learning.

Furthermore, he served as Portfolio Manager based in Bangkok for the South East Asia hub of countries including Lao PDR, Thailand, Malaysia and Cambodia, where he oversaw the performance of the World Bank financed portfolio; and held the positions of Regional Procurement Manager for the East Asia and Pacific Region, and Task Team Leader of various projects in the transport sector.

Mr. Robitaille is a Canadian national with a Civil Engineering degree from Laval University.
