The WBG's policies do not do justice to its multi-billion spend to promote MSMEs worldwide. Bank contracts are limited to less than 20% of the turnover of the firm. There are thousands of MSMEs that can grow into Large Enterprises by participating in Bank procurement if such limits are removed.

Help poor to help themselves by ensuring their participation. Besides building infrastructure, make sure implementation aspects are not compromised. Ensure regular M&E (independently) and incorporate the lessons learned while modifying the programs, strategies and approaches in years to come.
