Note: This chat will focus on safeguards in the Africa region

People and the environment are at the center of all our work. The World Bank’s safeguard policies are at the core of our efforts to protect people and the environment, and to achieve our goals to end extreme poverty and promote shared prosperity in a sustainable manner in our partner countries.

The World Bank has proposed a second draft Environmental and Social Framework that we believe is better for people, the environment, and for our Borrowers. We have consulted in 33 countries on this proposal – now we want to hear from you!

We invite you to discuss with an expert panel from the World Bank and to make your suggestions directly to those who are working on protecting people and the environment every day.

Please submit questions in advance through the form on this page, and join us live for the discussion!
