Alejandra Viveros is the Communications Manager for the Latin America and the Caribbean Region of the World Bank. Since 1999, she has held various positions within the global institution, including senior communications officer for the Poverty Reduction and Economic Management (PREM) Vice Presidency, where she oversaw the communications work of Debt and Economic Policy, Gender, Poverty and Equity, Public Sector Governance, and International Trade departments. Outside of the World Bank, she served two years as Head of Communications at the Inter-American Development Bank’s Multilateral Investment Fund, which works on private sector development. In addition to her wealth of communications experience with both public and private sectors, Ms. Viveros also has a journalistic background having worked as a correspondent for the Mexican News Agency (Notimex) in Ottawa and New York, and for the MVS Television network in Mexico City.
