Interview with Gunilla Carlsson

Gunilla Carlsson has been Swedish Minister for International Development Cooperation since September 2006. She's been a strong proponent of gender equality, addressing climate change, and measuring and achieving results. She was a Member of the European Parliament for the Moderate Party between 1995 and 2002. She was elected to the Swedish Parliament in 2002. Between 2004 and 2006 she was Vice Chair of the European People’s Party (EPP). During the same period she was Deputy Chair of the Swedish Parliament’s Committee for Foreign Affairs and she has also been a member of the Committee on EU Affairs. From 2010 to 2012 Gunilla Carlsson was a member of the UN Secretary General’s High-level Panel on Global Sustainability.
